High School Students Selected for Eastern Division Honor Choir PDF Print E-mail
Five Fox Chapel Area High School students were selected to perform with the 2004 Eastern Division High School Honor Choir sponsored by the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). Seniors Kathleen Arcovio, David Resnick, Sarah Smith, and Louise van Mook and junior Keith Smith are the Fox Chapel Area High School singers who will perform with more than 200 other students at this event. The members of the honor choir, who were selected by audition, will spend 2 1/2 days rehearsing on February 12, 13, and 14 in Boston, Massachusetts, at the Sheraton Boston Hotel in Copley Square. The groupís culminating performance will take place at the Boston Symphony Orchestra Hall on February 14 at 2 p.m. The concert is open to the public.

The 2004 Eastern Division High School Honor Choir will be a featured part of the biannual ACDA Eastern Division Convention occurring simultaneously in Boston at the Westin Copley Hotel. The convention will welcome more than 2,000 choral directors, choral singers, and honor choir students representing 11 New England and the Mid-Atlantic states to Massachusetts for the three-day event. Fox Chapel Area High Schoolís choral director Craig Cannon is the current president of ACDAís Eastern Division and will serve as the convention coordinator for this event.
